Our Process
Our structured process ensured that Merlin Workwear’s website was upgraded smoothly and without disrupting daily operations. By collaborating closely with the client, we prioritised their business goals, ensuring both immediate improvements and long-term growth.
Requirements
The eCommerce brand wanted us to implement a server migration, resolve various bugs, and build enhancements that will enhance the customer journey. The upgrade was aimed at leveraging the latest Magento version available in the market. The server migration required an additional SSL certification for greater security of the eCommerce business. Upgrading Magento sites is second nature for chilliapple, and the latest version, 2.4.2, brings with it exciting new features and fixes that can be enjoyed by our clients and their users.
Solutions
We created a plan that would not interrupt ‘business as usual.’ We retained all existing functionality and fully migrated all product and category data and other site content, as well as customer and order data. We optimised the site for search engines and speed. Valuable SEO equity was retained, and Google Analytics was configured. We migrated the site from AWS to a dedicated UK Fast Magento optimised server within a day and configured the SSL Certificate. We also delivered a dozen fixes and enhancements.
Results
The Merlin workwear team saw a noticeable improvement in the response time of their Magento’s admin panel when they were processing orders. With the multiple fixes we have made on the Magento Admin panel, the Merlin team has been able to process orders and handle customer queries much faster than before. And with the fixes we have made on the front-end, we have eased the customer journey to keep visitors on site.
