Business requirements

Limitless Travel is a flourishing holiday provider specialising in delivering holidays for people with a wide range of mobility restrictions and disabilities. The founder of Limitless Travel used first-hand experience of travelling with a mobility restriction to bring Limitless Travel to life, ensuring that holidays would not be restricted to only the able-bodied, but rather an inclusive experience for all. With a team behind them of people with disabilities themselves, travellers can be confident that Limitless Travel not only listen to their needs but understand them too.

The client came to chilliapple looking for a partner to help develop their existing Laravel website with new online booking functionality and user profile features being part of their development plan for their new website.

Our solution

Using the scope of work originally provided by the client for the development stage, an Account Manager worked closely with our CTO and Senior Laravel developer to gain a good understanding of what the client would need. After setting up an initial call between chilliapple and Limitless Travel, we were able to put together a complete brief of the work broken into development phases to manage the client’s budget. The focus was to ensure that the new booking pages were easy to use and to navigate. A review of the client’s competitors gave a clear indication of how Limitless Travel could offer a superior solution for its customers.

We created a mock-up before commencing with the work to make sure it aligned with the client’s vision. The new online booking journey included the traveller’s details, the number of travellers to be included on the trip, and the care package needed as well as purchase via a connection to a secure payment API. We also created a new section in the Admin to allow the client to view all bookings and the customer details completed.

The results

The website now has a seamless booking process and is as accessible as Limitless Travel’s holidays. Users can now book their holidays online more quickly, with confidence and ease, helping to reduce their need for sales agent support and thus lowering the client’s operational costs. A win-win for the client and its customers.
