Our Process

Working closely with Jumpking, we designed a strategic plan to migrate their eCommerce platform with zero downtime. By retaining the familiar look and feel, while upgrading to Magento 2, we ensured an improved, secure shopping experience for customers.

Requirement

Requirements

The client needed a seamless transition to Magento 2 with a familiar look and feel for returning customers. Their website was based on Magento 1, and they wanted to migrate to Magento 2, the latest version. The key focus of the company was to maximise security and ensure the best user experience. They also had customer and business data across three different Magento 1 stores and wanted to transfer them over to multi-Magento stores.

Solution

Solutions

With an account manager to oversee Jumpking’s requirements, chilliapple provided Magento developers to design and develop the latest version of the client’s online shop. Along with the design theme migration, we needed to migrate all existing features as well as customer accounts and orders. This involved moving data from three different instances on Magento 1 to a multi-store approach on Magento 2.  In addition, SEO equity needed to be maintained to ensure Jumpking was accessible via search engines.

Result

Results

The latest version of Magento also included a new multi-source inventory feature, which our developers needed to successfully implement into the Jumpking ecommerce solution. There was no business interruption during the upgrade and Jumpking benefited from an improved user experience and journey to purchase which has been hugely important during the COVID-19 global pandemic. The SEO equity has been retained which means visitors can still easily find Jumpking when using search engines.
