Business Requirements
Everymind Solutions is a mental well-being partner, supporting hundreds of organisations in their fight against mental health stigma. Their mission is to reinvent the way that organisations approach mental well-being in the workplace. Their support is backed by clinical psychology and lived experiences and is an incredibly important resource in ensuring their client’s employees remain happy, healthy, and supported.
The client approached us in 2022 looking for assistance with their existing app, Everymind, built-in React Native technologies. They were also in need of a new development team to help them build an intuitive and user-friendly client side platform to be powered by a robust and secure server side. The platform required two dashboards to be built for both sides of the business, and security was of utmost priority due to the sensitive nature of the content that would be submitted to this platform.
Our Solution
Following an introductory fact-finding call with our Project Manager, a scope of work was put together detailing the work required to build the brand-new conversations platform using existing designs provided by the client. After liaising with our CTO and Head of Bespoke Technologies, it was decided to use React.js for the frontend development of this system and Node.js for the backend elements, with MYSQL for the database.
We then discussed with the client the key sections of the platform and broke it down into 3 parts:
- HR user dashboard – for the Human Resources team to monitor company employees and mental health first aiders via analytics dashboards
- Advocate/Employee user dashboard – for mental health first aiders to record conversations they’ve had with employees and to access wellbeing resources
- Admin user section – for Everymind to set up & manage companies, employees, exercises, and quotes
The Results
Everymind now has a fully functioning conversation platform to allow employees a safe environment to securely log their worries and concerns. Following the success of this development, we are now continuing to work with Everymind to add new and exciting developments to the platform allowing for an even better user experience after real-life users have provided their valuable feedback. We are delighted to be a key part of Everymind’s journey and to help provide such an important digital space for mental well-being support.
