Cabbages and Roses is an independent, family-run business based in Somerset that specialises in quintessential, good quality, and unique British clothing and accessories, as well as printed fabrics and lifestyle goods for your home. Cabbages and Roses has a flagship store located in Bruton, Somerset, and runs its online shop on Magento. It’s a B2B and B2C business, selling straight to consumers as well as other fabric merchants located all around the UK and internationally.
Cabbages and Roses initially came to chilliapple as they were experiencing critical hacking issues on their checkout page, which was caused via the payment gateway portal as the site was not up-to-date and therefore not secure. The site was running on Magento 1.9, so an upgrade was long overdue.

Requirements
This was a straightforward project with nearly zero complexities. The clients were suffering from fraud due to the outdated version of the eCommerce platform. Their vision was to relaunch the website with optimum security for optimum performance. As their current Magento store was running on version 1.9, it was necessary to perform the migration process quickly. They were also facing critical hacking issues on their checkout page. This was again likely due to the site not being up-to-date and being insecure.
Solutions
Our account and project management team designed a migration plan with the help of some of our Magento 2 developers to ensure that the existing website code was not compromised by the hack and that the daily running of the website could be managed easily until the upgrade from Magento 1 to Magento 2 was ready to go live. Our team of developers took a copy of the code to clean by removing malicious malware and applying a new Magento patch.
