PrestaShop Module to customise product dimensions

Simon John Designs, a business that design and prints bespoke wallpapers, clothing and wall art, required a custom module for their wallpaper products. They wanted customers to be able to specify the dimensions of the wallpaper along with the quantity they needed at the point of online purchase. Based on the details entered by the user, the price would be calculated and displayed in the shopping cart.
After reviewing their brief and working through the software options and ultimate user experience, we recommended a solution was created using PrestaShop.
The custom module enables the user to set the width and length of the wallpaper they require along with the quantity. By default, all the numbers were set to 1 with the price per square metre displayed in bold.
The shopping cart summary then confirms the price based on the details entered by the user.
The PrestaShop module has dramatically improved the overall shopping experience. Customers no longer are restricted by a list of choices set by the website. They now have the freedom to choose exactly what they need leading to more sales.
