Business requirements
Timothy James & Partners, founded in 1995 and based in London, are independent financial advisors. They advise on life assurance, pensions, investments, other retail investments and consumer credit as well protection and private medical insurance contracts from a range of insurers. Clients are only accepted by referral from existing clients, accountants or solicitors. Their consultants are not paid commission or bonuses and so give truly independent advice that is personalised to each client.
The business approached chilliapple with the requirement for a new website sympathetic to their rebrand. After recently entering a new partnership with Waverton Group, they were keen to demonstrate their place in the market whilst showing their approachable nature.
Our solution
We supported them during the website branding process, preparing various designs until we reached the one that best reflected their values. We experimented with elements of the logo and created multiple typefaces, colour and style variations.
We used their latest black and white photography to influence the final design – friendly, confident and time stamped. TJ&P values individuals so photography was put centre-stage with a complimentary colour palette. Our colour choice meant the website worked with their new partnership brand colours, a collaboration our client wanted to proudly unveil. We created separate designs for desktop, tablet and mobile so they would be confident the website would function well on different platforms.
Timothy James & Partners have a keen love of art and wanted to share it with their site visitors, so we also created the space for the events they support and integrated an API from Waverton to feed through articles, videos and podcasts onto the News and Event’s page.
We understood the long-term effects of this new site on their position in the market. Our suggestions for content, copy and messaging were well-received and incorporated.
The results
The new site was built on WordPress and gave Timothy James & Partners the autonomy to control most, if not all, content. A simple navigation, pop-ups, APIs linking to and from Waverton and easy calls to action, whilst keeping their visitors engaged, were delivered as specified. And the new site truly reflected the rebrand and new relationship with Waverton. A wonderful project we were happy to be a part of.
